The Agreement Between Us

Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of our website and our certified legal translation services. Please read them before placing an order.

These Terms & Conditions form the agreement between you and Certified Legal Translations when you request a quote or place an order. By using our website or services, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.

1

Our Services

We provide certified, notarised, sworn-equivalent and apostille-supported translation of legal and official documents. A quote describes the specific service, price and turnaround for your document. Work begins once you confirm the quote and, where applicable, payment.

2

Quotes & Orders

  • βœ“Quotes are based on the document you supply and are valid for the period stated
  • βœ“Turnaround times begin once your order and any required payment are confirmed
  • βœ“If a document differs materially from what was supplied for the quote (extra pages, poor legibility), we may revise the price or timeline and will tell you before proceeding
  • βœ“You are responsible for supplying complete, final and legible documents
3

Pricing & Payment

Prices are confirmed in your quote and are payable as agreed before delivery unless otherwise arranged. The price you are quoted is the price you pay β€” there are no hidden charges. Optional extras such as notarisation, apostille or posted hard copies are quoted separately.

4

Your Responsibilities

  • βœ“Provide accurate contact details and clear, complete documents
  • βœ“Tell us the receiving authority and any specific format they require
  • βœ“Check the delivered translation promptly and report any issue within the review window
  • βœ“Confirm spellings of names exactly as they appear on your official ID
5

Accuracy & Certification

We certify that each translation is a true and accurate rendering of the document supplied. Our certification relates to the document as provided to us. We cannot be responsible for errors originating in the source document, or for a rejection caused by a receiving authority’s specific or changed requirements that were not communicated to us.

6

Turnaround & Delivery

We work hard to meet agreed deadlines, including urgent and same-day options. Delivery is digital (PDF) by default, with posted hard copies available on request. Delays caused by incomplete documents, third-party services (e.g. FCDO apostille) or events beyond our control are outside our liability, though we will always keep you informed.

7

Corrections & Refunds

If a translation contains an error on our part, we correct it at no charge under our Refund & Correction Guarantee. Please refer to that policy for full details of how corrections and refunds are handled.

8

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific translation concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes determined by third parties such as visa decisions or court rulings.

9

Intellectual Property

On full payment, you own the delivered translation for your intended use. Website content, branding and templates remain our property and may not be copied or reused without permission.

10

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
